Jeju Island, also known as the “Hawaii of Korea,” is blessed with a warm climate and is a popular resort island with idyllic scenery of ranches and mandarin orchards. Yongdusan, where lava from Hallasan's eruption has cooled and hardened in the sea.
Located on the left bank of Kinko Bay at the southern tip of Kyushu, this tourist destination overlooks Sakurajima and is home to many historical and cultural sites. It is famous for the site named after Saigo Takamori, a hero of the late Edo period who lived a turbulent life, and Sengan-en, the villa of the Shimazu clan.
